I'm running for
Regional Vice-President Toronto
(Etobicoke / Downtown / East York)
Shortly after joining the party in April 2019, I went to my first AGM as a delegate that June. I attended the 2021, 2023, and 2024 AGMs as a delegate. Continuing that streak, I am a registered delegate for this year's AGM.
I started volunteering with the party at the 2020 Leadership Convention as a member of Team Neutral. That experience led me to become the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2023 Leadership Convention, the 2024 AGM, the 2025 Leaders Dinner, and until I decided to stand for the position of RVP, as Volunteer Coordinator for the 2025 AGM.
I joined the Spadina--Fort York PLA as a Director in 2022. I was appointed Treasurer in 2023, and elected President in 2024. I also stepped in this past year to Chair the Toronto Centre AGM.
For the 2022 Election, I door knocked for Chi Nguyen in Spadina--Fort York. During the 2025 Election, I door knocked for Rob Cerjanec in Ajax, and was involved in the campaigns for both Chi Nguyen (Federally) and April Engelberg.
I have been an RTC member since 2019. I donate monthly to my own PLA and to the Ajax PLA, as well as the Federal EDA for Spadina--Harbourfront.

My role as your RVP will be to support each of the PLA's in EDEY at Executive Council. I will be here to help you and support you with what you need; give you guidance; and, provide you with information and updates about what will impact EDEY.
To accomplish that, I plan to set up monthly calls with each of the PLA Presidents, and host regular informal regional calls.
Having spent the past several AGM's as a volunteer and volunteer coordinator, I have seen the value of a solid base of regular volunteers. I will work with each of the PLA's to identify and connect those local volunteers, so across EDEY we can quickly mobilize a multi-PLA team of volunteers when another PLA needs help.
The future of the party, is with our youth. I will work with each of the PLA's and in tandem with the OYL to increase youth involvement within EDEY, specifically on the PLA's. It is my plan that by the 2026 AGM, every PLA in EDEY will be able to field youth delegates.
Jonathan Brickwood is an outstanding choice for the next RVP of EDEY. He was our region's Volunteer of the Year in 2024 for his efforts to reactivate the riding of Spadina-Fort York and for supporting last year's OLP AGM, He understands the hard work of building a grassroots organization and empowering others around them to live up to their full potential.
As the former candidate for Spadina--Fort York, I am happy to support Jonathan. Jonathan is the President of our OLP riding association and we are so very fortunate to have him. Jonathan is dependable, hard working, easy to work with and so dedicated to the OLP. He takes the initiative to get things done, even in the off-season. That's what we need on our leadership team.
Jonathan Brickwood is a great choice for Regional Vice-President Toronto. Dedicated, energetic and keenly intelligent, Jonathan is exactly what the Ontario Liberal Party needs at this critical time. Jonathan has my enthusiastic vote!
I was born and raised in Toronto, and have lived and worked in the city my entire life. I grew up in (what is now) Parkdale--High Park, before moving to (then) Toronto Centre--Rosedale. I lived at Jarvis and Wellesley for 6-years before moving to Spadina and Bremner into (what is now) Spadina--Fort York fifteen years ago.
I've made my career as an Executive Assistant in both the public and private sector for nearly 25-years.
My parents have been politically involved for many years. My father was Student Senator at York University in 1981. He took me out campaigning with him as a child in the 1980's and 90's for various candidates. A teacher by profession, he spent many years on the Executive of the Elementary Teachers of Toronto before retiring. My mother was the founding President of the York University Staff Association in the late 1970's, and has remained politically active. She is a current Director on the Etobicoke Centre PLA.
My partner and I have lived together since 2019, satisfying our desire for a dog by dog sitting regularly. I fill my (diminishing) spare time with: working out with my best friend and trainer several times a week; working on my Mandarin; writing a mystery novel; and, playing Final Fantasy XIV (on PS5).
